Sustain (UK) Limited has a vacancy for an Administrative Assistant.  The position is permanent / part time with a competitive salary of £29,000 Pro Rata per annum.  This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham. Our modern offices are located beside the Edgbaston Metro Tram Stop.

About the role of Administrative Assistant

Key Responsibilities

The role will encompass support in the three areas as listed below:

Housing Benefit Administration

The provision of administrative support to our Housing Benefit Team with Housing Benefit and Welfare Claims, the timely delivery of information requests to the Local Authority, responding to enquires and resolving queries, accurate record keeping and the provision of advice and guidance to our partners. 

Tenant Liaison

To act as a point of contact for vulnerable tenants, providing support with housing-related queries, to work alongside support and referrals teams to identify and address any tenant concerns, to assist in maintaining communication between tenants, housing providers, and external support organisations

Referral Case Management

To process referral phone calls and emails, ensuring accurate recording and follow-up, liaise with applicants and referring agencies to provide support / track progress and to accurately maintain and update databases..

Key Requirements

  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook.)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Strong communication and liaison skills, both verbal and written
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Housing Benefit Regulations

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in housing, benefits administration, or social care.
  • Understanding of housing benefit regulations and procedures.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals or in a support service environment.
